OAC File: Kaoshin

I'm not sure I like this new submission format. But it's alright.

-KAOSHIN-

- Flora/Fauna hybrid species. The Kaoshin species has uniquely adapted on their Earth to accomodate not only mammalian energy production with a carnivorous diet, but their root evolution has them closer related to plant-life. Their chlorophyll regulates modest photonic intake, with their skin tones ranging throughout the color spectrum depending on how much sunlight they need and how steady their diets are.

- Kaoshins are tall, lean, flexible, and have exceptional cellular durability compared to Humanity. They have evolved to be well-adapted to long stellar travel, being less susceptible to prolonged exposure to low-level radiation. Their circulatory and organ structure is efficient and minimal, and many have the ability to control by will the functions of their body. The more miraculous of these feats is the ability to shift their mass and gravitational attraction; by some mental and biological mechanism they are able to 'bend' the route gravity holds to them, where as long as there is steady footing they are able to scale sheer vertical surfaces.

- They are an intensely spiritual race adherent to a non-theistic philosophy, closely resembling what we would call 'humanism'. It is believed that the entirety of their society spawned from a dream of their society as it is now. The closest to what the Kaoshin would describe as Gods would be their new monarchs, avatars of their culture spawned by the will of the people. By cultivation of the self, many have been able to master their own version of telekinesis not too dissimilar from Roshan abilities.

- Psychologically they are more prone to the highs and lows of emotion when unschooled. To experience and control the sudden onslaughts of feeling is a virtue all Kaoshins hold dear. Time is experience differently for them, as they have a lifespan ten times that of Humanity, and are currently the longest-lived Earthian species. Good or bad will is similarly long-lived in their minds, and a slight or a compliment remains fresh to them for weeks or years.

- Kaoshin society seeks to find balance in its social structures, and while slow, their culture undergoes constant reforms on many worlds. Technology is developed in such a way that it has been called 'the most aesthetic of all Earthian races', and has been accused of sacrificing usefulness for style. Kaoshins disdain purely utilitarian technologies and accommodations, and go to great lengths to design and customize all things they manufacture and own to reflect their spirit. Regardless, a carefulness and foresight into all that they create allows superb durability and long-lasting designs that would be necessary for a culture that spans centuries.

- In similar spirit to Roshanity, as well as every other Earthian race in their own way, Kaoshins bear characteristics very 'elvish' or 'fae' in nature. First contact between them and Humanity did not fare well; territorial disputes and a seemingly inborn hostility between one another caused the longest war in recorded history, ended only two centuries before the holocaust of the Enders. Only as aggressive as Humanity in all its spectrums, cooperation did eventually come, and the emotion of prosperity is never a fleeting thing among them.
